The Retro Revival project, guided by mid-century modern architectural principles, aimed to honour both the era's distinct style and the original structure's integrity. Central to this vision was the home's original sloped wood ceiling, which was carefully stained to enhance its character.

The design ethos was grounded in simplicity and clarity, utilising materials that reflect the clean, uncluttered aesthetic of mid-century modern design. This minimalist approach was complemented by iconic mid-century modern globe lighting, adding a touch of time-honoured elegance and continuity to the space.

A standout feature of the renovation is the use of walnut millwork. This choice not only pays homage to the quintessential mid-century style but also adds a layer of warmth and sophistication, seamlessly tying together the home's historic roots and its contemporary rejuvenation.
